DUSHANBE, October 21, 2013, Asia-Plus — Ballot papers for the upcoming presidential election in Tajikistan reportedly have several degrees of protection.

“There are several degrees of protection on ballot papers printed for the 2013 presidential election that will take place in Tajikistan on November 6,” Abdumannon Dodoyev, head of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER)’s office, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, the ballot papers are being printed in a special shop of the state-run printing house, Sharqi Ozod.

“Under the country’s legislation, the ballot papers are sent to the District Election Commissions (DECs) ten days before an election and to the Precinct Election Commissions (PECs) two days before an election,” Dodoyev said.
