DUSHANBE, June 10, 2014, Asia-Plus — Tajik diplomat Rustam Mahmoudi, who was wounded in Kunduz, Afghanistan last month, has been taken to Dushanbe, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
He is currently taking a rehabilitation course at the National Medical Center.
We will recall that unidentified persons attacked a car of Tajik Consul in Afghan Badakhshan Rustam Mahmoudi in Kunduz on May 16. He sustained bullet wounds in his legs and his hands. Japanese physicians performed two surgeries on him in Kunduz.
Afghan law enforcement authorities have launched investigation into the incident.
Tajikistan has embassy in Kabul and consulates in Mazar-i Sharif, Kunduz and Fayzabad.
