Majlisi Namoyandagon board considers amendments to the Criminal-Procedural Code

DUSHANBE, April 16, Asia-Plus – The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill requiring amendments to Tajikistan’s Criminal-Procedural Code at an April 16 meeting.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered amendments to the laws on the protection and state support for entrepreneurship, public associations, veterinary medicine, seed-growing, state regulation of production and sale of ethyl alcohol and alcohol drinks.

The amendments made to the mentioned laws aim to bring them into compliance with the Constitution and other laws of the country, the spokesman said.

The board also considered a new bill on organs of the public initiative, according to Sultonov.

Some of the considered bills have been submitted for the final resolution to the Majlisi Namoyandagon’s committees and others have been recommended to be put on the agenda of the next regular sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Sultonov said.
