DUSHANBE, October 22, 2014, Asia-Plus – Officers from the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) have reportedly broken up an organized drug trafficking group.
“An operation carried out in Dushanbe led to the arrest of five members of this group, including a border guard officer,” an official source at the SCNS told Asia-Plus in an interview on Wednesday, noting that 100 kilograms of raw opium and 32 kilograms of heroin have been confiscated from the detained drug traffickers.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug traffickers and an investigation is under way.
