DUSHANBE, May 12, 2015, Asia-Plus — Mudslides have reportedly damaged a number of households in the southern province of Khatlon.
Torrential rain on May 11-12 caused a mudslide that completely destroyed one house and partially damaged ten other houses in the village of Qizil Qala in the Khuroson district, an official source at the Khatlon emergency management agency told Asia-Plus in an interview.
No injured was reported, according to the source.
Another mudslide caused by torrential rain hit the village of Dehqonobod in the Jilikul district on the same day. The mudslide reportedly destroyed a bridge and partially damaged several households in Dehqonobod.
No injured was reported.
