report that the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member nations plan to make a range of joint statements on space weapons and countering international terrorism at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
“At the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, a number of joint statements are expected to be made on preventing the deployment of weapons in space, on measures countering international terrorism and other issues,” a source in Russia’s Foreign Ministry was quoted as saying by

.
The platform of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will also be used, he added.
Established in 1992, the CSTO currently comprises the former Soviet Republics of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The CSTO is an observer organization at the United Nations General Assembly.
The regular session of the UN General Assembly, the policy-making body of the United Nations, is scheduled to open at the UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday. The general debate of the session will take place from September 28 – October 6.
