DUSHANBE, December 4, 2015, Asia-Plus — 20-year-old resident of Shignan woloswali in Afghanistan Badakhshan, Amonulla waladi Abdulla, was detained by Tajik border guards while illegally crossing border river in Shugnan district of Tajikistan’s Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) late Wednesday, according to the Border Guard Directorate at the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
Muhammad Ulughkhojayev, a spokesman for the Border Guard Directorate, says six kilograms of hashish were confiscated from the trespasser.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.
