US Embassy: Phoenix Air does not take out Tajik citizens

There were no Tajik citizens on board the Phoenix Air plane, which flew to Germany from Dushanbe on May 3, US Embassy in Dushanbe reports on its Twitter page.

«The U.S. Embassy contracted Phoenix Air for a flight that departed Dushanbe on the evening of May 3rd for Ramstein, Germany. No Tajik citizens were on this flight. We thank PhoenixAirGroup and airport authorities for assistance in arranging the flight», – the message says.

The US Embassy in Dushanbe confirmed the information, but did not say who was on board.

Recall, recently, a number of opposition media reported that, allegedly, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon fell ill and immediately flew to Germany on this plane. But the assistant to the head of state, Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda, in an interview with the Khovar agency on May 5, denied these reports, saying that humanitarian aid was delivered to the country by this plane.
