Khujand lyceum leavers receive US$2.5 million in grants for studying in US leading universities

41 students are finishing the Khujand Lyceum for Talented Children this academic year, and 12 of them have entered the US leading universities,” the Lyceum Principal, Ms. Surayokhon Nematzoda, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to her, those twelve students this year have participated in international contests and Olympiads organized by the US universities and due their successful results they have been selected to study in the US leading universities.      

“Twenty prestigious universities are ready to accept these guys.  Of these universities, the guys chose the best for continuing their studies,” Ms. Nematzoda said.  

Eighteen other lyceum leavers have entered universities in Germany, Turkey, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgarian and Russia she noted.

Besides, eleven lyceum leavers have submitted documents for admission to the Tajik National University, Ms. Nematzoda added.
