DUSHANBE, July 26, 2012, Asia-Plus – Mirzokhouja Ahmadov, former chief of the regional body empowered to combat organized crime in Rasht Valley, told Asia-Plus by phone that he is now in his native Rasht and he has not been to Gorno Badakhshan long ago.
Ahmadov has denied information that he was sent together with Shoh Iskandarov to Gorno Badakhshan a month ago for strengthening of the border as unfounded.
“I have not been to Gorno Badakhshan long ago. I am currently at home,” said Ahmadov. “I do not know the whereabouts of Shoh Iskandarov because I have not communicated with him for a long time.”
We will recall that according to unofficial data, Muhammadshoh (Shoh) Iskandarov, deputy chief of the Interior Ministry’s department in Rasht Valley, has allegedly been killed during a special operation in Khorog, the administrative center of Gorno Badakhshan.
A source in one of law enforcement agencies of the country told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon that Shoh Iskandarov, Mirzokhouja Ahmadov (former chief of the regional body empowered to combat organized crime in Rasht Valley) and his people were sent to Gorno Badakhshan a month ago for strengthening of the border with Afghanistan.
