CIS border troops commanders to meet in Dushanbe to discuss cooperation issues

DUSHANBE, April 20, Asia-Plus  — The next 63rd session of the council of the CIS border troops commanders will take place in Dushanbe on April 22.

According to the main border guards directorate within the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), the meeting will discuss issues related to jointly countering illegal migration, drug trafficking and terrorism.  The meeting participants are expected to give a news conference.

The commanders of the border troops from the CIS states are planned to be received by President Emomali Rahmon before the meeting, the source said.

Established in 1992, the council of the CIS border troops commanders will meet in Tajikistan for the first time.
