DUSHANBE, November 11, 2012, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon has introduced a number of staff changes.

Nematjon Bouriyev, formerly Senior Adviser to the President for Economic Affairs, was appointed First Deputy Minister of Economic development and Trade.

Abdumannon Kholiqov, who had previously served as Deputy Minister of Justice, was appointed First Deputy Minister of Justice.

Hakim Mirsayev, formerly head of the control department at President’s Executive Office, was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice.

Karimjon Azizov was appointed first deputy director of the TV Channel “Safina,” and Shohona Odinayeva was appointed deputy director of this TV channel.

Muhammad Ghoib, formerly director of the Tajik National TV Channel, Shabaki Avval (Channel One), was appointed editor-in-chief of the

Jumhuriyat

newspaper (a Tajik-language mouthpiece of the Government of Tajikistan).

Besides, President Rahmon submitted to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) the candidacy of Saidboy Zokirov, head of the Trade Unions of Sughd Province, for election as deputy chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER) and the candidacy of Nourullo Mahmadulloyev, director of the Agency for Social Security of the Population, Employment and Migration at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, for election as member of a CCER.

In accordance with Article 13 of the RT Law “On the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Tajikistan,” President Rahmon submitted to the Majlisi Namoyandagon candidacies for appointment as chief auditors.  Among them are Ashourali Mirzoyev, formerly head of the corruption prevention department at the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption (anticorruption agency), Qosim Muminov, formerly head of the Secretariat at the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs, Faizali Zaripov, formerly deputy head of department at the anticorruption agency’s office in Dushanbe, Mahamdali Samiyev, formerly deputy head of department at the anticorruption agency, and Zikrikhudo Samadov, head of the GBAO main finance directorate.
