DUSHANBE, September 19, 2013, Asia-Plus /Avaz Yuldoshev/ — An operation by officers from the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) has led to the arrest of alleged drug peddler at the Dushanbe airport.
According to the SCNS press center, Russian national Siroj Davlatov was detained by the SCNS officers at the Dushanbe airport on September 18 on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.
More than 1.8 kilograms of heroin were reportedly found hidden in his suitcase.
Siroj Davlatov has the previous conviction. In 2002, he was sentenced to 15.5 years in prison for drug trafficking. He was amnestied in 2011, the SCNS press center said.
