DUSHANBE, September 20, 2013, Asia-Plus – The position of the head of the MFA Consular Department is still vacant.
We will recall that Dushanbe mayor’s son, Jamoliddin Ubaidulloyev, had occupied this position since 2012 but he was transferred to other job in early September. Jamoliddin Ubaidulloyev now heads the MFA International Organizations Department.
Before him, the Consular Department had been headed by Bahrom Kholnazarov, who is currently Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan (according to some sources, he is the son-in-law of President Rahmon’s brother) and President Rahmon’s daughter Ozoda Rahmonova, who has been Deputy Foreign Minister since 2009.
