The Party of Economic Reforms nominates its leader as presidential candidate

DUSHANBE, September 22, 2013, Asia-Plus – The Party of Economic reforms of Tajikistan has nominated its leader Olimjon Boboyev to run in the 2103 presidential election scheduled for November 6.

The Party of Economic Reforms held a congress in Dushanbe on September 21 and its leader Olimjon Boboyev was nominated as presidential candidate.  

Olimjon Boboyev was born in the Hisor district in 1952.  He graduated from Tajik Technical Institute in 1972.  Olimjon Boboyev has scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences in Economics.  Currently, he is Director of the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.  Married with five children.

The Party of Economic Reforms was registered with the Ministry of Justice on November 9, 2005.  The party’s aims are to reduce poverty, conduct proper privatizations, and attract foreign investment.  According to Olimjon Boboyev, his party now has some 20 members.
