DUSHANBE, September 23, 2013, Asia-Plus — On Monday September 23, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon congratulated King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Saudi National Day (the unification of Saudi Arabia).
In his message of congratulations, Tajik leader, in particular, notes that he is optimistic about prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi National Day (Al-Yaoum-al-Watany) is celebrated in Saudi Arabia on every September 23. This day represents the nation”s identity and is greatly associated with the unification of the country by the late king Ibn Saud in the year 1932. This day holds an important place in the History of Saudi Arabia. The day embodies all the customs and traditions of the country and signifies the true spirit of the Saudi Arabian nation. September 23 is observed as one of the Public holidays in Saudi Arabia by the government and other private institutions of the country.
