DUSHANBE, September 24, 2013, Asia-Plus — The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest) of RT on September 20 arranged the one day workshop for the 20 relevant specialists of the Committee and the representatives of other ministries and organizations on “Investment Promotion and Improving the Access to the Information about the Tajikistan.”
According to UNDP CO in Tajikistan, the workshop was conducted within the small initiative of UNDP supported by Czech Trust Fund “Access to Country and Improving the Economic Opportunities.” The workshop was conducted by the Senior Consultant of one of the leading consulting organizations from Czech Republic “Czech Invent” Mr. Robert Hejzak.
The investments promotion and access to the information play an important role in more integration of the country to the world economy. Investors, who are planning to invest, are always will be looking for the relevant information about the country. This information can be general, showing the social and economic stability and can be specific aimed to bring investors. The quality, relevance and structure of the information can facilitate the decision of investors, to come, to invest into the Tajikistan. At the same time the information can create an image of the country and play as a trigger during the decision making process by potential investors.
During the workshop the participants had a chance to learn about the world best practices on investment and image promotion and reviewed the cases on decision making factors by investors while planning the investments to country. The issues of the informational support of investment process have been considered by reviewing the existing Tajikistan promotion web sites. The relevant recommendations to improve the content, structure, design and promotion of these web sites have been provided.
The Head of the Department on Investment promotion activities of State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management of RT Safarali Qurbonov noted: “The workshop provided a lot of useful information in terms of image and investment promotion and we will duly use the recommendations to improve these sides of our activities to promote the country”.
