Nearly 30 kilos of drugs seized by Tajik drug control officers last weekends

DUSHANBE, April 25, Asia-Plus – Over the last weekends, drug control officers have seized nearly 30 kilograms of narcotics in three separate operations, according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press service.

A 46-year-old national of Tajikistan has been detained on suspicion of drug pushing in an operation carried out by drug control officers in Dushanbe.  Thirty package of narcotic drug that tested positive of hashish weighing 29.395 kilograms have been confiscated from him.

Another operation carried out in Dushanbe has led to the arrest of a 32-year-old local resident, who is suspected of drug peddling.  327.7 grams of heroin have been confiscated from him.

An operation carried out by drug control officers in the Bobojonghafourov district of Sughd province has reportedly led to the arrest of local resident, who is suspected of being involved in drug pushing.  A package of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing 171.1 grams has been fund in his home.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddlers and an investigation is under way.
