Agreements on extension of cooperation in the food and automobile industries were achieved at the meeting of First Deputy Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia Umirzak Shukeyev and Igor Shuvalov, held in Moscow on March 24.
As U.Shukeyev noted, accession to the Customs Union for Kazakhstan is connected with two main aspects – cooperation in the automobile industry and in the field of promotion of the domestic agricultural products to the markets of partner-countires.
According to him, Kazakhstan used to supply 350 thousand tons of meet to Russia. “Taking into account the demand of Russia in qualitative products we would like to increase the export of Kazakh meet to Russia by 60 thousand tons per year in the nearest three years”, U.Shukeyev said.
The sides agreed to establish joint working groups in order to negotiate the issue of increase of the Kazakh meet export and import of Russian products to Kazakhstan.
