’s Pashtany Tejeraty (phonetically spelled) Bank intends to open its corresponding account at open joint-stock-company (OJSC) “AgroInvestBonk” in
Tajikistan
.
According to information from the AgroInvestBonk headquarters in Dushanbe, the Afghan bank board’s head Hamid Qadir offered this during his meeting with top managers of the OJSC “AgroInvestBonk”, Niyozmurod Saidmurodov (AgroInvestBonk head) and Ibodullo Saidmurodov (AgroInvestBonk deputy head), in Dushanbe on January 5.
According to the source, the meeting focused on establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two banks.
Mr. Naim Muhammad Muhmand, head of the Association of Merchants and Industrialists of Afghanistan, and Mr. Hashim Karzai, head of the Afghan construction company “AF-Co”, also attended the meeting.
Participants at the meeting pointed to the significance of participation representatives from the banking systems, business structures of the two countries in reconstruction of
Afghanistan
’s economy. The sides also stressed an importance of establishment of cooperation between banks of the two countries. .
The meeting resulted in signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the OJSC AgroInvestBonk and
Afghanistan
’s Pashtany Tejaraty Bank.
Now clients of “AgroInvestBonk” may remit money via the bank from
Tajikistan
to
Afghanistan
and vice versa.
