DUSHANBE, February 11, 2011, Asia-Plus — A charter airline, East Air, is launching an air route from Dushanbe to New Delhi, India.
The first flight on this air route is scheduled for February 15. Eat Air will operate the Dushanbe-New Delhi flight once a week – on Tuesdays. A ticket for the flight from Dushanbe to New Delhi costs US$310.00 and the cost of passenger fare from New Delhi to Dushanbe is US$322.00.
“If passenger traffic increases, we will launch the twice-weekly service – on Tuesdays and Saturdays,” the source at East Air said.
Founded in 2007, East Air is a charter airline registered in Tajikistan. Based at Kulob International Airport, the airline provides charter services for various airlines to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Afghanistan, CIS nations and Southeast Asia’s countries. Besides, East Air operates flights from the Tajik city of Kulob to Moscow. The air carrier also plans to launch new air routes from Kulob to St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg (Russia) and Islamabad (Pakistan).
