DUSHANBE, April 4, 2012, Asia-Plus — A seven-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a Chinese minivan in Dushanbe on April 3.
The accident took place Tuesday morning on the Qahhorov Street, the source at the Interior Ministry traffic police directorate said.
“An eight-seat Chinese Hafei minivan, which was dubbed by local drivers and passengers the Tangem, named after a female Korean soap opera star popular on local television, moving from the Roudaki district to Dushanbe hit the seven-year-old boy. “The boy died on the way to the hospital,” the source noted.
According to the statistical data from the traffic police directorate, 239 traffic accidents have been registered across the country since the beginning of the year. 69 persons have been killed and 263 others have been injured in those accidents.
