Seven people, including three children, were killed in traffic accidents in Tajikistan on July 7 and 8, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.
On July 7, Hyundai Porter driven by the 44-year-old Muhsinjon Qobilov hit the 9-year-old Umeda Rasouloval in Bobonjon-Ghafourov district, Sughd province. The girl died on the way to hospital.
On the same day, the 26-year-old resident of the city of Norak, Najmiddin Safarov lost control of his Opel-Astra and it turnover. The accident took place in Danghara district, Khatlon province. As a result of the accident, one of passengers – the 20-year-old resident of Norak Anjuman Salimov – was killed, while the driver and one other passenger sustained various wounds and were taken to a hospital.
Another fatal accident took place on July 7 in Roudaki district. Mercedes-Benz driven by the 23-year-old resident of Fayzobod district, Jamshed Mardonov, hit the 15-year-old Emommahdi Bobomurodov. The boy died on the spot.
On July 8, Mercedes-Benz driven by the 32-year-old Yusufjon Rahimboyev hit the 8-year-old Abdurahim Jumayev in Bobojon-Ghafourov district, Sughd province. The boy died on the spot.
Two persons were killed and one other was wounded on July 8 as two cars collided in Khuroson district.
Another fatal accident took place on the same day in Varzob district. The 27-year-old resident of Uzbekistan’s Samraqnad region, Hamdamqul Azimov, lost control of his Chevrolet and it fell into the Varzob River. The operation for searching for his body is still under way.
