No one of Rudaki memorial complex designs was accepted

DUSAHNBE, April 17, Asia-Plus – A competition on the best design of Abuabdullo Rudaki memorial complex has been expended till April 26.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that a special commission for consideration of the designs met yesterday to sum up the contest’s results.  “No one of eight designs submitted for consideration has been endorsed,” said the spokesman, “And it was decided to set up four groups from among participants of the competition to project new designs.”

The Dushanbe mayor’s office announced the competition in February and last Wednesday, all outline sketches were put on display in the Ismoili Somoni monument’s pantheon.  Those interested could come to the pantheon to familiarize themselves with the designs to make their remakes and express their wishes how to improve them.

The complex dedicated to the founder of Tajik-Persian literature is supposed to be constructed in the Dushanbe Central Park.
