Dushanbe electric power authorities continue imposing rolling blackouts on some city’ areas

Rolling blackouts have been resumed in some areas of Tajik capital and thirteen and two neighborhoods in Dushanbe will be left without electricity for seven hours today in connection with routine maintenance work on power stations in these areas, according to the Dushanbe electricity supply network.

“Today, electricity supply will be cut off to Sari Osiyo, Sadriddin Ayni, Zahmatobod, Mirzo Tursunzoda, Pioner, Loiq Sherali, Shapkin, Mash’al, Krupskaya, Yuzhnaya, Obkhodnaya, Sino, and Jabbor Rasoulov  streets from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in connection with routine maintenance work,” an official source at the Dushanbe electricity supply network told Asia-Plus in an interview.

“Besides, electricity supply will be cut off to Khovaron (Eastern Hills) and Gurakha neighborhoods,” the source added.
