Among those who left Syria yesterday night 83 are citizens of Russia and the remaining 45 are citizens of Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
We will recall that Tajikistan solicited Russian help in evacuating Tajik nationals from unrest-torn Syria at the beginning of this year.
The Syrian civil war is an ongoing armed conflict in Syria between forces loyal to the Syrian Ba”ath Party government and those seeking to oust it. The conflict began on 15 March 2011, and according to international media sources, at least 80,000 people estimated to have been killed in the past two years of the Syrian conflict.
