DUSHANBE, May 21, 2015, Asia-Plus – Heads of security bodies and special services from the CIS nations are expected to gather in Dushanbe next week to discuss cooperation in addressing modern challenges and threats.
According to the CIS Executive Committee, a meeting of heads of security bodies and special services from the CIS nations that will take place here from May 25-27 will discuss the possibility of participation of extremist and neo-Nazi organizations in implementation of “color revolutions” within the CIS area.
Heads of security bodies and special services from the CIS nations are also expected to discuss joint measures to provide information security.
The meeting participants will also map out joint measures to counter possible threat from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) organization and exchange views on work to prevent spread of religious extremism and terrorist ideology.
They will also discuss the progress of the implementation of the program of cooperation in preventing terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism designed for 2014-2016, CIS Executive Committee said.
