DUSHANBE, September 23, 2015, Asia-Plus — Director of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan, Lieutenant-General Rustam Nazarzoda, is participating in the 25th Anti-Drug Liaison Officials” Meeting for International Cooperation (ADLOMICO) that is being held in Jeju, South Korea.
The conference kicked off on September 22 and runs through September 24 and its participants include representatives of 27countries and eight international organizations.
Speaking at the conference, Nazarzoda reported on the current drug situation in Tajikistan and measures taken by the Tajik government to combat drug trafficking, Khoushnoud Rahmatulloyev, a spokesman for Tajik counternarcotics agency, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
On September 22, Tajik drug control chief reportedly met with the Supreme Public Prosecutor of Korea and Director of Narcotics Division at the Supreme Public Prosecutors” Office.
The sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation in combating drug trafficking.
Tajik DCA and Korea’s Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office signed a memorandum of cooperation on combating drug trafficking and organized crime, Rahmatulloyev said.
