reports that Syrian government forces killed more than 75 militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), including a Tajik-born ISIS field commander, on April 21.

, subunits of the 104th airborne brigade, of the Syrian Republican Guards with support of the National Defense Force (a nation-wide paramilitary organization that supports the Syrian government) freed the Al-Sinaa block of the administrative center of Deir Al-Zor province on April 21.
75 ISIS militants, including the Tajik-born field commander, were killed in the special operation,

According to Tajik authorities’ data, up to 1,000 nationals of Tajikistan have joined ISIS militants in Syria and Iraq.
