Vice-Rector of Tajik Medical University, Professor Dilshod Solehov, hast got a lengthy jail term for a large-scale bribery.
A court in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district has sentenced Dilshod Solehov to eight years in prison. The sentenced followed his conviction on charges of bribery (Article 319 (4) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code).
The court also handed down a decision on confiscation of Solehov’s properties.
The deputy head of the court in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, Muzaffar Abdullozoda, says Solehov will also be barred from holding leading posts during five years after being released.
Recall, Solehov was arrested in early September this year while taking 16,000 U.S. dollars from local resident for setting his son, who failed the entrance exams, into the University.
