QURGHON TEPPA, May 30, Asia-Plus — The Khatlon regional prosecutor’s office has completed investigation into case of former member of the Muminobod legislature (Majlis), Sadullo Rahimov, and the case has already moved to the regional court, according the Khatlon regional prosecutor’s office.
The source at the prosecutor’s office said that Rahimov faces charges under the provisions of four articles of Tajikistan’s Criminal Code: Article 104 (murder); Article 314 (abuse of office); Article 316 (exceeding authority); and Article 322 (negligence).
We will recall that members of the Muminobod legislature on April 5 voted for repealing inviolability of Sadullo Rahimov, and he was took into custody.
As it had been earlier, Sadullo Rahimov, who is also head of the Navbahor Farm in the Muminobod district, is charged with having killed tractor driver Emom Karimov in the village of Kulchashma. Rahimov shot Karimov to death from sub-machine-gun Kalashnikov on December 15, 1996.
