Tajikistan lost one position in the new Global Innovation Index (GII) compared to last year. This year, Tajikistan ranked 104th in the ranking (in 2021, the country had 103rd place).
GII Report 2022 focuses on “The Future of Innovative Development”. According to its compilers, it provides a perspective on the atmosphere in the field in the context of a pandemic, declining productivity growth and other challenges.
Among the four countries of Central Asia, Tajikistan occupies the last, 4th place (Turkmenistan is not included in the ranking).
Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan ranked 82nd and 83rd respectively, Kyrgyzstan is in 94th place.
In terms of innovative resources, the position of the country has not changed – the same 104th place, and according to the results of innovations, it has dropped by 5 positions – from 96th place to 101st.
