Turkmenistan marks the Day of Revival, Unity and Poetry of Makhtumkuli Fragi today. Official ceremonies dedicated to the great classic of literature and the day of adoption of the Constitution of Turkmenistan are being held in the capital city and regional centers of Turkmenistan, as well as in national-cultural centers abroad.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed a message to the people of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the landmark date, the text of which was published in the central press. Congratulating fellow countrymen, the head of state underlined that this holiday, celebrated on the day of adoption of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, “embodies the dreams of ancestors that came true, realized aspirations of people, and the revived spirit of the Turkmen nation”.
As the president noted, philosophical beliefs and poetic genius of Makhtumkuli formed the basis of the Constitution of Turkmenistan. “All that we do in Turkmenistan, being guided by the principles of peace, humanism, good neighborliness, as well as our domestic and foreign policies, produce positive results,” the message said.
