More than 80% of enterprises and organizations in Khujand shift to payroll cards

KHUJAND, March 17, 2011, Asia-Plus — More than 80 percent of federally funded organizations in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province have shifted to a payroll card system.

Masrour Hakimov, head of the main branch of Agroinvestbonk in Khujand, says all these organizations are served by Agroinvestbonk.  “Under the bank agreement customers receive Agroinvestbonk’s local plastic card free of charge.”

According to him, Agroinvestbonk’s main branch in Khujand now serves almost 20,000 deposits loaded onto payroll cards.  “The payroll card system has been introduced for employees of federally funded enterprises and organization following government’s decision aimed at ensuring transparency of financial relations within the federally funded organizations and enterprises,” Hakimov said.

He noted that since July 2010, the branch has issued 11,000 plastic cards for employees of the federally funded organizations.

In Sughd province, Agroinvestbonk has 21 automatic teller machines (ATM).  Besides, all branches and back offices of the bank in the area have cash payment points that also can serve plastic cards.

Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 61 other branches across the republic.
