CIS heads of government adopt 17 documents

, May 25, Asia-Plus – A level of cooperation between the CIS states does not meet requirements of present time, Tajik Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov remarked telling a meeting of the CIS heads of government in


Dushanbe


today.  

“We ought to use all mechanisms and advantages to develop further integration,” he said, pointing to the necessity of determining tasks on strengthening and reforming institutional bodies of the CIS.  “It is necessary to seek new ways of expansion cooperation between the CIS member nations,” said Oqilov, “Over the last several years, a sustainable economic development is to be observed in all member nations of the CIS, including

The meeting of the CIS Council of the Heads of Government held in


Dushanbe


centered on implementing tasks, facing CIS states in the humanitarian and social spheres.  The agenda of the Council’s meeting in


Dushanbe


consisted of 25 items, 17 of which have been virtually agreed upon the CIS Executive Committee and were signed today without discussion. 

It is to be noted that Georgian delegation did not sign any of documents.  Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Baranidze told journalists this following the meeting of the CIS Council of the Heads of Government.  According to him, he officially delivered intention of
