267 crimes registered in Kulob last year

KULOB, January 11, Asia-Plus – In 2005, 267 crimes were reported in Kulob District of Khatlon, which is 22 cases fewer compared to the previous year, Major Pirmad Ismoilov, aide to the Kulob police directorate chief, has said in his interview with Asia-Plus.  

According to him, local police solved 253 crimes, including one murder, 24 grave crimes, four cases of robbery and 82 cases of swindling.   

17 sub-machine-guns were seized in the city and the district of Kulob last year.  “In 2005, 7 kilograms of drugs were intercepted in the district,” the Asia-Plus interlocutor said, noting that 20 criminal proceedings were instituted last year on the drug-trafficking crimes.
