For 30 Years, We Have Been Writing the Chronicle of the Country!
Asia-Plus is an independent media group operating in Tajikistan since 1996. We create and distribute news, analytical, and entertainment content through digital platforms, including our website, social media, and messengers, as well as through traditional channels such as radio and print publications.
Today, Asia-Plus holds leading positions in Tajikistan’s media landscape. The portal asiaplus.news is one of the country’s most visited news resources, attracting around 1 million visitors per month. The combined audience across social media and messaging platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Telegram, exceeds 2 million subscribers. The Asia-Plus newspaper remains the country’s most popular Russian-language newspaper, with a circulation of about 10,000 copies per month. Asia-Plus Radio 107FM broadcasts daily to an area with a population of more than 2 million people.
The Asia-Plus News Agency was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan in the autumn of 1995. In April 1996, the first issue of the AP informational and analytical bulletin was published. Today, the agency produces news and other content in three languages — Tajik, Russian, and English.
The Asia-Plus newspaper has been published since January 2000. It is a weekly publication distributed throughout the country and continues to hold the status of Tajikistan’s most popular Russian-language newspaper. The newspaper also includes an infotainment supplement — the glossy magazine VIPZONE.
Asia-Plus Radio is the first independent radio station in Dushanbe. It first went on air on September 9, 2002, and broadcasts 24/7 in Tajik and Russian. The station is available in Dushanbe and Bokhtar on frequency 107 FM, and in Khujand on frequency 104.4 FM. The radio broadcast is also available online.
Asia-Plus also includes a TV production studio that creates video content in various formats — from news reports and commercials to music videos and documentary films.
Editorial Policy of Asia-Plus
Independence. The editorial team independently determines topics, wording, and presentation of materials, taking into account public significance, accuracy, legislation, and professional standards.
Accuracy. Facts are verified, and whenever possible, the editorial team relies on several independent sources.
Corrections and Complaints. Factual errors are corrected promptly. The publication specifies what was corrected, why, and when.
Editorial Priorities. The main focus is Tajikistan: politics, economy, society, social issues, culture, education, and more. The editorial team also covers news and events from Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran, and the wider world.
Languages and Audience. The media group operates in Russian, Tajik, and English. Editorial standards are unified across all language versions: the format of presentation may differ, but the principles of accuracy, responsibility, and respect for the audience remain unchanged.
Advertising and Partner Materials. Commercial materials are labeled as “Promo,” “Partner Material,” “Press Release,” or “Company News.” The editorial team may refuse publication or suggest changes if the material contradicts the publication’s standards.
Source Protection. The editorial team does not disclose the identity of sources without their consent. Sources may remain anonymous only for compelling reasons, and quotations are conveyed accurately without distorting their meaning.
Artificial Intelligence. AI tools may be used for technical tasks such as translation, transcription, data search and processing, drafting, content repackaging, and others. AI is not considered an independent source of facts; all materials are reviewed by a journalist or editor.
