Tajik table tennis players take part in championships in Germany and Iran

DUSAHNBE, April 27, Asia-Plus –



Tajikistan


’s national team on table tennis led by Rustam Kholiqov, head of


Tajikistan


’s Table Tennis Federation, is taking part in the World Table Tennis Championship, which opened in the German city of


Bremen


on April 24, according to information from


Tajikistan


’s National Olympic Committee (NOC). 

The competitions in


Germany


will last till May 1.

In the meantime, the qualification championship of

Central Asia

,


Afghanistan


and


Iran


on table tennis among youth is ongoing in the Iranian city of


Garmsor


, according to Farid Solehov, a spokesman for Tajik NOC.  Tajik team is also taking part in this championship.  The team that will win the qualification competition in


Iran


will take part in the Asian Table Tennis Championship that will be held in


Japan


in July this year.
