’s Antimonopoly Committee has given ruling to the Ministry of Communications demanding restoration of privileges for some categories of subscribers (veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, participants of cleanup operation at the

Chernobyl

nuclear power plant, veterans of Afghan War, etc).

Amonullo Ashurov, Deputy Director of the Antimonopoly Committee, has told Asia-Plus that this issue is supposed to have been solved already by May 9.

The ruling by the antimonopoly agency giving to the ministry demands removing consequences of wrong application of fixed-line rates in the cities and rural areas.

“Repeated analysis by experts from the antimonopoly commission of normative documents has revealed that privileges of some categories of subscribers have been canceled unfoundedly,” Ashurov said, noting that the country’s legislation does not provide for cancellation of privileges on communications services.
