According to information fro the Dushanbe Office of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the conference is being held under aegis of the President’s Executive Office under financial support of the USAID Commercial Law Development Project implemented by ARD/Checchi.

, Tajik central bank, the World Bank, private juridical firms, NGOs, as well as international experts.   

The conference is aiming to analyze the present Civil Code as well as to consider proposals on making amendments to it.
