Khujand enterprise begins producing water heaters

KHUJAND, July 24, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Open joint-stock company (OJSC) Sirandud, located in the southwest industrial zone of Khujand, has begun producing household water heaters.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Sirandud director Dadojon Poulodov said that they purchased steel cylinders and enameled them in order to prevent corrosion.  “After that, we install temperature monitors, heat-control units and heating elements on them,” Poulodov said, noting that they now produce some 250 such water heaters per month.

The main output of Sirandud is enamel-covered kitchen utensils.  The enterprise produces some 10,000 various enamel-covered kitchen utensils per month for domestic market   More than 100 people currently work with Sirandud.
