KHUJAND, July 24, 2009, Asia-Plus — In January-June 2009, the Sughd anticorruption directorate has inspected 89 organizations, including 64 federally funded organizations and 25 dehqon (peasant) farms, according to the anticorruption directorate press service.
“12 organizations have been inspected following applications, letters and rulings by law enforcement agencies,” said that source.
According to findings by the anticorruption directorate, illegal activities of the inspected organizations have cost the province more than 2.43 million somoni and more than 1.1 million somoni of these funds have been reimbursed to this date.
Besides, tax arrears of 467,500 somoni have been paid to the national budget over the report period, the source said.
