KHUJAND, August 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — A large amount of heroin was confiscated from the 38-year-old resident of the Kuhistoni Mastchoh district, Gulmahmad Norov, on Sunday, according to the Sughd police directorate.
When searching his luggage, officers at the traffic police post “Safeda” in the Istaravshan district found a package containing 900 grams of heroin.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Norov and an investigation is under way, the source at the Sughd police directorate said.
