Joint board meeting o Tajik, Russian interior ministries opens in Kazan tomorrow

DUSHANBE, August 18, 2009, Asia-Plus  – A three-day joint board meeting of the Ministries of Interior of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation is opening in Kazan, the capital of Russia’s Tatarstan Republic on August 19, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The source at a MoI said the meeting aims to consider a number of topical issues related to interaction between the interior ministries of the two countries in investigating and solving crimes committed by organized criminal groupings with international ties.

The meeting is expected to result in signing of a number of cooperation documents, the source said.  We will recall that the previous joint board meeting of the Tajik and Russian MoIs was held last year in the Tajik northern city of Khujand
