Tajik tax officers study experience of their Czech colleagues

DUSHANBE, November 17, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The chairman of the Tajik Tax Committee Nusratullo Davlatov heading a delegation of Tajik senior tax officers visited the Czech Republic on November 8-10, according to the Tax Committee.

The purpose of the visit was for the delegation to consider issues related to expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the tax agencies of the two countries, the source said.

During his stay in Prague, Davlatov met with Jan Knizek, Director General of the Czech Tax Administration, to discuss the information exchange cooperation issues.

The sides, in particular, touched upon issues related to exchange of experience in managing tax arrears, carrying out tax inspections, and international taxation (the study or determination of tax on a person or business subject to the tax laws of different countries or the international aspects of an individual country”s tax laws), the source said, adding that the trip was organized in the framework of the World Bank Tax Service Capacity Strengthening Project.
