More than 70 Iranian companies are participating in the exhibition that was organized by Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and Iranian exhibition company, Rah-e Roshd-e Asiaya (the path of Development of Asia) under support of the Government of Tajikistan.
They have put on display their achievements in agriculture, confectionery and light industries, production of building materials and jewelry at the ongoing fair, the CCI press center reports.
The main objective of this exhibition is reportedly in promoting further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran, attraction of investments or development of Tajikistan’s economy and launch of joint ventures.
Meanwhile, during his working visit to Urumqi, the capital of China’s Xinjiang-Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), Tajik CCI head Sharif Said reportedly met there with XUAR government deputy head Shi Digan (phonetically spelled) and XUAR commerce department head He Imin (phonetically spelled) on December 24.
Issues related to holding of an exhibition of export goods from XUAR and other provinces of China in Dushanbe in 2013 were a major topic of the meeting. The sides signed an appropriate agreement, the source said.
