Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda, the Head of Khatlon region, proposes to build a central bridge in the Yavan district on the basis of a bank loan and make it paid.

On the 5

th

of September, during the reception in Yavan district, Gulmahmadzoda, answering the question of local residents, said that the construction of the main bridge in the Yavan district, which connects two banks of Yavan administrative center, requires large sums.

“To restore this bridge we need millions of dollars, which we have neither in the budget of the region, nor in the area budget. There is only one option. We can prepare a project, offer it to international financial institutions and get credit for the construction of the bridge. But in order to pay back the loan, we have to make a paid transition through the bridge. You will discuss this with the locals, if they agree, prepare the project” – said the Head of the field.

Last year, as a result of mudflow, a central bridge in Yavan was completely destroyed. Local authorities together with entrepreneurs of the area tried to repair the bridge; however, the second mudflow has thoroughly destroyed the bridge footings.

According to the head of Yavan district Amirbek Temur, the bridge was built in Soviet times, the length was 52 m, and the length of the project on the new bridge will be 82 m.

“In 2014 for 600 thousand somoni we conducted the works to prevent the destruction of the bridge. However, the mudflow once again has completely destroyed the bridge. For the construction of the new bridge project we need about 20 million somoni and there are no such funds in the district budget” – added Amirbek Temur.
