DUSHANBE, February 19, 2016, Asia-Plus /Avaz Yuldoshev/ – Afghan national has been detained while illegally crossing the border river near the village of Yomj in the Shugnan district of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press center.
Khoushnoud Rahmatulloyev, a spokesman for the DCA, says a package of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing 1.103 kilograms was confiscated from the trespasser.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.
