Chinese company received 50% of the shares of the former company of Firtash in Tajikistan

Previously, the company, owned by Ukrainian billionaire Dmitry Firtash, was nationalized together with the equipment.

Investment agreement on modernization and commissioning of the enterprises for manufacture of mineral fertilizers signed the State Committee on investments and state property management of Tajikistan and Chinese company "Henan Zhong -Ya holding group".

As reported the press service of State Committee on investments and state property management of Tajikistan, according to the signed agreement, Chinese company will build in Sarband city of Khatlon region on the basis of JSC "Azot" (former CJSC JV "Tajik Azot") the company for the production of ammonia and urea.

It is expected that the first complexes of these companies will be commissioned after a year and a half, and the second – within three years.

At the first stage it is planned to produce 120 thousand tons of ammonia and 200 thousand tons of carbamide per year on these enterprises. In the second stage the ammonia production will be increased to 300 thousand tons, and carbamide – up to 500 thousand tons per year.

Under the agreement, 50% of shares of JSC "Azot" will belong to Chinese company that undertakes to build plants and equip them with modern technological lines. The volume of direct investments of the company "Henan Zhong -Ya holding group will be 360 million.

JSC "Azot" (Vakhsh nitric-fertilizer factory) is located in Sarband. It is the only enterprise in the Republic producing mineral fertilizers.
