Military parade in honor of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence took place today, September 8, on the main square "Dusti".
The parade was attended by more than 16 thousand soldiers of all kinds of Armed forces of the country. The parade was opened by pupils from the Dushanbe military Lyceum, behind them were the veterans of the Armed forces, National guard soldiers, female soldiers, officers and soldiers of the Ministry of defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of justice, CoES and Civil Defense, border guards, officers of anti-drug and anti-corruption agencies, Customs, cavalry, cynologists with their pets.
The adviser of the Minister of defense, major-General Latif fayziyev has commanded the parade, the Minister of defense Sherali Mirzo took the salute and reported the President about the readiness of Dushanbe garrison for a military parade.
Emomali Rahmon in his congratulatory speech said that the Armed forces of Tajikistan were established in the years of independence of Tajikistan. He urged officers and soldiers of the national army to serve in the protection of the frontiers of the country, the constitutional order in the Republic.
Military parades in honor of the 25th anniversary of independence held today in all military garrisons of the country – Sughd, Rasht, Khatlon and Khorog regions, in which in total will participate 9 thousand officers and soldiers.
Recall this afternoon the President will hold a solemn meeting, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of independence.
Tomorrow, on September 9, 60 thousand students, pupils and government workers will march on Dusti square.
